Description

What: Southeast winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph expected. 1 to 4 inches of snow expected above 5000 feet.
Where: The southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains, including Siskiyou Summit, Mt Ashland, Crater Lake National Park, Diamond Lake, Hyatt and Howard Prairie lakes, and the passes of Highways 140, 138, 62, 66, and 58.
When: Until 1 PM PST this afternoon.
Impacts: High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Additional Details: Additional wind and snow hazards are possible tonight into Christmas Day.

Recommended Action

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive. Take time now to prepare for potential power outages.
