Recommended Action

Description

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Oklahoma Salt Fork Red River near Mangum affecting Jackson and Greer Counties.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Salt Fork Red River near Mangum.
When: From this evening to tomorrow evening.
Impacts: At 8.0 feet, Expect near bankfull stages along the river in Harmon Greer and Jackson counties.
Additional Details: - At 10:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 6.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - ForecastThe Salt Fork Red River is expected to rise to a crest of 8.2 feet tomorrow morning. - Action stage is 8.0 feet. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Portions of southwest Oklahoma, including the following county, Jackson and northern Texas, including the following county, Hardeman.
When: Until midnight CDT tonight.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 852 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Quanah and Copper Breaks State Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
