Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Northwestern Athens County in southeastern Ohio Western Morgan County in southeastern Ohio Perry County in southeastern Ohio
When: Until 845 AM EDT Monday.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Additional Details: - At 851 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include New Lexington, Glouster, Somerset, Shawnee, Perry State Forest, Crooksville, Thornville, Junction City, New Straitsville, Corning, Jacksonville, Trimble, Glenford, Hemlock, Rendville, Burr Oak State Park and Eagleport. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
