Recommended Action

Periods of snow will result in snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving. During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions.

Description

What: West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
Where: Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Jefferson, Genesee, Wyoming, and Chautauqua Counties.
When: Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Recommended Action

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
