What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall earlier this evening remains in spots.
Where: Portions of Niagara County, including Lockport and Shawnee.
When: Until 300 AM EDT.
Impacts: Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.
Additional Details: - At 1047 PM EDT, local law enforcement continued to report flooded roads and basements near Lockport and Shawnee due to earlier thunderstorms producing heavy rain in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include North Tonawanda, Lockport, Newfane, Middleport, Sanborn, Wilson, Barker, Gasport, Appleton, Olcott, Rapids, Cambria Center, Pendleton Center, Wolcottsville and Ransomville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
