Flash Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Northwestern Gage County in southeastern Nebraska Central Jefferson County in southeastern Nebraska Southeastern Saline County in southeastern Nebraska Until 215 AM CDT. At 1209 AM CDT, Emergency Management reported flooding in Fairbury. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Fairbury, Wilber, De Witt, Plymouth, Diller, Clatonia, Jansen, Swanton, Harbine, Cub Creek Recreational Area, Rock Creek Station State Historical Park, Ellis, Homestead National Historical Park and Crystal Springs Campground.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
