Description

What: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Where: The southern Piedmont, Sandhills, and southern and central Coastal Plain in central North Carolina, including the following counties: Anson, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, Sampson, Scotland, Stanly, Wayne and Wilson.
When: From late tonight through Friday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details: - Waves of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will focus along a slow-moving cold front and produce 2 to 4 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts, late tonight through Friday morning. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
