When: Until 400 AM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated.
Additional Details: - At 1253 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that may experience flooding include Morganton, Marion, Glen Alpine, Old Fort, Lake James, Lake James State Park, B.R. Parkway-Little Switzerland To Linville, B.R. Parkway-Craggy To Little Switzerland, South Mountains State Park, Nebo, Glenwood, Pleasant Gardens, Fero, Sugar Hill, Woodlawn, Dysartsville, North Cove, Thermal City, Little Switzerland and Union Mills. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
