Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Description

What: Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. Isolated stronger gusts are possible with showers and thunderstorms.
Where: Bitterroot/Sapphire Mountains, Butte/Blackfoot Region, Missoula/Bitterroot Valleys, and Potomac/Seeley Lake Region.
When: From noon today to midnight MDT tonight.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Recommended Action

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.
