SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 488 REMAINS VALID UNTIL 1 AM MDT WEDNESDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MONTANA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL MONTANA GOLDEN VALLEY MUSSELSHELL WHEATLAND IN SOUTHEAST MONTANA ROSEBUD THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ASHLAND, COLSTRIP, FORSYTH, HARLOWTON, LAME DEER, LAVINA, ROUNDUP, AND RYEGATE.

Flood Advisory

Description

Persistent storms have occurred just east of Judith Gap, producing a combination of rain and hail. These storms have transitioned into light to moderate rain, and will continue to occur over another hour.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: North Central Golden Valley County in central Montana Northeastern Wheatland County in central Montana
When: Until 1045 PM MDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 913 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Mainly rural areas of North Central Golden Valley and Northeastern Wheatland Counties. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not drive on or attempt to cross flooded roads, find an alternate route. Roads and driveways may be damaged or washed out in places.
