Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Where: A portion of southern Mississippi, including the following areas, Northern Hancock, Northern Harrison, Northern Jackson, Southern Hancock, Southern Harrison and Southern Jackson.
When: From 10 AM CDT this morning through Sunday evening.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Additional Details: - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms producing locally heavy rainfall are expected starting today and continuing through Sunday. A large area with rainfall amounts of 4 to 7 inches with locally higher amounts of 8 to 10 inches is expected in the watch area through Sunday evening. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
