Description

What: Heat index values up to 110 degrees.
Where: Portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana, and central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest, south central, southeast, southwest, and west central Mississippi.
When: Until 8 PM CDT Sunday.
Impacts: High temperatures and high humidity may cause heat related illnesses.
Additional Details: Temperatures at night will not bring much relief as they struggle to fall below 80 in some cases. The threat for dangerous heat will continue into next week.

Recommended Action

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
