The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Mississippi Jourdan River Near Kiln/Bay St. Louis affecting Hancock County. For the Jourdan Riverincluding Kiln/Bay St. Loui
S: Major flooding is forecast.
What: Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
Where: Jourdan River near Kiln/Bay St. Louis.
When: Until Saturday morning.
Impacts: At 10.0 feet, Homes along the river on the south bank will flood. Water will be over the road near the bridge approach. Backwater flooding will threaten property east of Highway 43. Access to the river will be restricted. At 12.0 feet, Major flooding will occur downstream of Highway 43. The highway will be closed with deep swift water over the roadway north of the bridge.
