Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri Missouri River at Washington. Missouri River at St. Charles. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Missouri River at St. Charles.
When: From late tonight to late Thursday night.
Impacts: At 27.0 feet, The Katy Trail begins flooding near this height along Hawning Road, about 2 miles north northeast of the Highway 370 bridge.
Additional Details: - At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 19.6 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 26.6 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor this developing situation and issue follow up statements as conditions change. Flash Flood Warning
At 1111 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include O'Fallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, Florissant, Chesterfield, Wildwood, Ballwin, Kirkwood, Maryland Heights, Hazelwood, Manchester, Creve Coeur, Overland, St. Ann, Bridgeton, Dardenne Prairie and Town and Country. This includes the following State Park
S: Babler Memorial State Park, Route 66 State Park, Castlewood State Park, First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site and Robertsville State Park. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 70 in Missouri between exits 219 and 231. Interstate 44 in Missouri between exits 247 and 276.
