Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Portions of south central and southwest Missouri, including the following counties, in south central Missouri, Howell. In southwest Missouri, Ozark and Taney.
When: Until 830 AM CDT Monday.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 225 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossing
S: Turkey Creek at County Road 830, Possum Walk Creek at Highway T, Trigger Creek at Highway J, Little North Fork River at County Road 916, Little North Fork at Haskins Ford Road, Pond Fork at County Road 883 and Lick Creek at County Road 528. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Branson, Forsyth, Hollister, Merriam Woods, Rockaway Beach, Gainesville, Bakersfield, Kissee Mills, Bull Creek, Table Rock, Theodosia, Kirbyville, Pontiac, Sundown, Long Run, Rueter, Protem, Thornfield, Isabella, Willhoit, Powersite, Ozark Beach, Edgewater Beach, Hardenville, Ridgedale, Tecumseh, Udall, Bull Shoals Lake, Lake Taneycomo, Norfork Lake, Table Rock Lake, Shepherd of the Hills State Park and Table Rock State Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
