Recommended Action
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. Description

The Flood Advisory is extended for the following rivers in Louisiana Amite River At Denham Springs affecting East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parishes. For the Amite And Comite River
S: including Olive Branch, Comite Joor Rd, Darlington, Grangeville, Magnolia, Denham Springs, Bayou Manchac Point, Bayou Manchac Near Little Prairie, Port Vincent, French Settlement, Maurepa
S: elevated river levels are forecast.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: Amite River at Denham Springs.
When: Until Tuesday evening.
Additional Details: - At 7:15 AM CST Sunday the stage was 25.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 24.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.9 feet just after midnight tonight. - Action stage is 26.0 feet. - Flood stage is 29.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
