Flood Advisory
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: The following counties, in northeast Kentucky, Lewis. In northern Kentucky, Mason.
When: Until 1145 AM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Additional Details: - At 839 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include Maysville, Washington, Lewisburg, Tollesboro, Camp Dix, Head of Grassy, Glen Springs, Ribolt, Epworth, Petersville, Stricklett, Rectorville, Orangeburg, Kinniconick, Harris, Somo, Emerson and Moranburg.
Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams. Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
