Flash Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Louisville has extended the Flash Flood Warning for Boyle County in central Kentucky North Central Casey County in central Kentucky Garrard County in central Kentucky Lincoln County in central Kentucky Southern Madison County in central Kentucky Marion County in central Kentucky Southwestern Mercer County in central Kentucky Southern Washington County in central Kentucky Until 330 PM EDT. At 110 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Flooding was reported by 911 Call Centers in Lancaster and multiple areas in Madison County. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is occurring and expected to continue with additional rain.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Richmond, Danville, Lebanon, Stanford, Lancaster, Springfield, Mccreary, Berea, Junction City and Crab Orchard.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
