Flood Advisory
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Portions of central and south central Kentucky, including the following counties, in central Kentucky, Grayson, Green, Hart, Ohio and Taylor. In south central Kentucky, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan and Warren.
When: Until 545 PM CDT /645 PM EDT/ Thursday.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Additional Details: - At 1144 AM CDT /1244 PM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.1 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Bowling Green, Glasgow, Russellville, Morgantown, Greensburg, Munfordville, Brownsville, Plum Springs, Mount Victor and Crestmoor. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
