Flood Watch
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of east central Colorado, including the following area, Cheyenne CO and Kansas, including the following areas, Decatur, Gove, Graham, Greeley, Logan, Norton, Rawlins, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas, Wallace and Wichita.
When: Until 6 PM MDT /7 PM CDT/ this evening.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Additional Details: - An additional 0.25-2.00" of rain are forecast through Thursday afternoon. The heavier amounts will favor those closer to Central Kansas while the lower amounts will favor those near the Tri-State border. There may be a few pockets of 4-6" rainfall totals generally along and south I-70.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
