Description

The National Weather Service in Topeka KS has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Kansa
S: Mill Creek at Washington affecting Washington County. Big Blue River near Blue Rapids affecting Marshall County. Black Vermillion River near Frankfort affecting Marshall County. Little Blue River near Barnes affecting Marshall and Washington Counties.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Black Vermillion River near Frankfort.
When: From this morning to early Monday morning.
Impacts: At 26.0 feet, The west bank of the river floods. At 27.5 feet, Area in the vicinity of 19th Terrace and Vista Roads floods.
Additional Details: - At 6:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 6.8 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 27.2 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

Recommended Action

What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Little Blue River near Barnes.
When: From this morning to tomorrow morning.
Impacts: At 17.0 feet, Farm field, 4.5 miles north of Barnes, on the west side of Highway 148 floods north of the river. At 19.0 feet, Farm field, 4.5 miles north of Barnes, south of the river and east of Highway 148 floods.
Additional Details: - At 7:16 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.7 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 17.7 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage this evening. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Impacts: At 26.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding occurs from Marysville to Tuttle Creek Lake.
Additional Details: - At 6:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.3 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 30.7 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
