Flood Warning
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of central Kansas, including the following counties, Barton, Ellsworth, Lincoln and Russell.
When: Until 1145 PM CDT.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Additional Details: - At 739 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Wilson, Lincoln, Lucas, Sylvan Grove, Dorrance, Barnard, Milberger, Bunker Hill, Galatia, Susank, Wilson State Park, Wilson Lake and Ash Grove.
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.

TORNADO WATCH 214 REMAINS VALID UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL KANSAS BARTON ELLSWORTH LINCOLN RUSSELL SALINE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ELLSWORTH, GREAT BEND, LINCOLN, RUSSELL, SALINA, SYLVAN GROVE, AND WILSON.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning
At 937 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles south of Beverly, or 12 miles northeast of Kanopolis, moving northeast at 40 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Beverly, Glendale, and Westfall. This includes Interstate 70 between Mile Markers 223 and 261, and between Mile Markers 264 and 266.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central Kansas. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
