Description

What: Heat index values near 100 on Tuesday and up to 106 by Thursday expected.
Where: Portions of south central Indiana and east central, north central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.
When: From 1 PM EDT /noon CDT/ Tuesday to 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ Thursday.
Impacts: Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

Recommended Action

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
