Issued by: National Weather Service
Description

A band of lake effect snow will bring a brief burst of accumulating snow as it comes ashore in far northern Lake County. Expect a coating up to one inch of accumulation and visibility as low as one half mile for areas primarily north of Interstate 80. The snow will cause localized hazardous travel, including on I-90/94, until the lake effect band shifts west into Illinois after about 10 AM. Motorists are advised to use extra caution. Take it slow and keep a safe following distance when driving.
