Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana East Fork White River at Seymour. .Heavy rainfall from earlier this week brought minor lowland flooding to the East Fork White at Seymour. The crest is currently just past Seymour as of late morning Thursday.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: East Fork White River at Seymour.
When: Until late Saturday evening.
Impacts: At 16.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding affecting agricultural lands. Many county and state roads in flood plain become impassable by high water, including SR 235 East of Medora, SR 258 East of Cortland, CR 725 N and possibly SR 39 south of Tampico. High water affects county roads near Vallonia and Shields, Ewing Road near Brownstown, CR 525 N near Seymour wastewater treatment plant, Honeytown Road and possibly SR 250 east of Dudleytown and SR 256 west of Austin.

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
