Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: The following county, in east central Indiana, Fayette.
When: Until 300 AM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
Additional Details: - At 1039 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that may experience flooding include Connersville, Glenwood, Columbia, Bunker Hill, Nulltown, Alpine, Everton, Alquina and Springersville.

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
