Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa Cedar River near Conesville affecting Muscatine and Louisa Counties.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Cedar River near Conesville.
When: From Saturday afternoon to late Saturday night.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.1 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage Saturday afternoon to a crest of 14.5 feet Sunday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next statement will be issued by Friday morning.
