Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa Skunk River at Augusta affecting Des Moines, Henry IA and Lee Counties. North Skunk River near Sigourney affecting Keokuk County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Skunk River at Augusta.
When: Until Sunday afternoon.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, widespread agricultural flooding occurs.
Additional Details: - At 9:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.8 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.3 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Recommended Action

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
