Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa Turkey River at Garber affecting Clayton County. Turkey River at Elkader affecting Clayton County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Turkey River at Garber.
When: Until Monday morning.
Impacts: At 17.0 feet, Minor flooding begins in the communities of Garber, Osterdock, and Millville.
Additional Details: - At 8:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 17.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 PM CDT Saturday was 17.3 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 17.5 feet on 06/30/1942. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
