Description


Red Flag Warning On Thursday Afternoon And Early Evening For Portions Of Northeast And North Central Florida:
Affected Area: In Florida, Inland Nassau, Inland Flagler, Coastal Nassau, Coastal Duval, Eastern Clay, Eastern Putnam, Coastal Flagler, Eastern Marion, Trout River, Western Clay, Northeast Coastal St. Johns, Western Putnam, South Central Duval, Southeast Coastal St. Johns, Western Duval, Northern Inland St. Johns, Southern Inland St. Johns and Western St. Johns.
Timing: Thursday afternoon through early evening.
Winds: West 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Relative Humidity: As low as 27 percent.
Temperatures: Up to 97.
Lightning:
Impacts: Existing or newly ignited wildfires may exhibit erratic fire behavior, spread rapidly and become difficult to contain or suppress.

Recommended Action

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
