Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Florida Shoal River near Mossy Head (CR 1087) affecting Walton County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Shoal River near Mossy Head (CR 1087).
When: Until early Wednesday morning.
Impacts: At 14.0 feet, Water begins to overflow into wooded areas along the river from New Harmony Road westward to Laird Road. At 16.0 feet, The Hinote Road Bridge begins to flood. The road is subject to closure.
Additional Details: - At 8:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 14.8 feet. - ForecastThe river will rise to 15.0 feet late this afternoon. With additional rainfall today, it will then rise to 15.4 feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 15.5 feet on 02/26/2013. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
