Recommended Action
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Description

What: Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Southwestern Pasco County in west central Florida Pinellas County in west central Florida
When: Until 1015 PM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 722 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey, Port Richey, Holiday, Beacon Square, New Port Richey East, Jasmine Estates, East Lake, Palm Harbor, Elfers and Bayonet Point. - https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
