Description

At 652 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Great Sand Dunes, or 27 miles northeast of Alamosa, moving north at 30 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include Great Sand Dunes and Crestone Peak.

Recommended Action

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
