Description

At 843 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the North and Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen on the upper reaches of North Creek 3 miles northwest of Beulah, and on Galbeth Creek north of Beulah. Localized rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour continue to fall across the northern portions of the Aspen Acres burn scar. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
Hazard: Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the North and Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar.

Impact: Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the North and Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Beulah and San Isabel. This includes the following high risk location
S: Beulah Water Intake, Northcreek Road county line to Red Mountain Camp and Northcreek Road from Red Mountain Camp to Beulah. This includes the following streams and drainage
S: North Creek, South Red Creek, Peck Creek, Soda Creek, and their tributaries.
