Recommended Action
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Description

What: Elevated surf of 3-6 feet with sets to 7 feet expected along with dangerous rip currents and minor coastal flooding.
Where: San Diego County coastal areas and Orange County coastal areas, particularly along south and southwest-facing beaches.
When: Now through Thursday evening.
Impacts: Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Flooding of low lying beach parking lots, boardwalks, and roads.
Additional Details: High tides peak around 6.2 to 6.5 feet from 8-10 PM PDT this evening and Thursday evening.

Recommended Action

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
