Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: A portion of central California, including the following counties, Kern and Tulare.
When: Until 530 PM PST.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.
Additional Details: - At 218 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Ridgecrest, Arvin, Rosamond, Tehachapi, California City, Golden Hills, Weldon, South Lake Cdp, Squirrel Mountain Valley, Bodfish, Onyx, Stallion Springs, Inyokern, China Lake Acres, Randsburg, Lake Isabella, Mojave, Jawbone Canyon, Piutes and Water Canyon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
