What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of southwest California, including the following counties, San Luis Obispo and Western Santa Barbara.
When: Until 300 AM PDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Minor rock or mud slides.
Additional Details: - At 1135 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain spreading across the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Minor rock or mud slides are possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, Lompoc, Pismo Beach, Point Conception, Arroyo Grande, Nipomo, Vandenberg Space Force Base, Orcutt, Los Alamos, Highway 101 through Gaviota State Park, Grover Beach, Guadalupe, Buellton, Sisquoc, Oceano, Vandenberg Village, Lake Lopez, Shell Beach and Avila Beach. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
