Description

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central Greene County in eastern Arkansa
S: Northwestern Mississippi County in eastern Arkansa
S: Southeastern Clay County in eastern Arkansa
S: Pemiscot County in southeastern Missouri Dunklin County in southeastern Missouri Northwestern Dyer County in west Tennessee Lake County in west Tennessee Until 400 PM CDT. At 309 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Deering, or near Hayti, moving east at 30 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Paragould, Kennett, Caruthersville, Gosnell, Hayti, Steele, Rector, Senath, Marmaduke, Reelfoot Lake State Park, Tiptonville, Ridgely, Oak Grove Heights, Cardwell, Hornersville, Hayti Heights, Arbyrd, Cooter, Lafe, and Wardell. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 55 in Arkansas near mile marker 72. Interstate 55 in Missouri between mile markers 1 and 29.

Recommended Action

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the storm shelter or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Description

At 324 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Marmaduke, moving southeast at 20 mph.
Hazard: Tornado and quarter size hail.
Source: Radar indicated rotation.
Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include Paragould, Senath, Monette, Marmaduke, Oak Grove Heights, Cardwell, Arbyrd, Lafe, Delfore, Macey, Schug, Fritz, Bard, Mounds, Halliday, Arkmo, Noxburn, Brighton, Bertig, and Cotton Belt.
