Flash Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has extended the Flash Flood Warning for Barbour County in southeastern Alabama Southeastern Bullock County in southeastern Alabama Pike County in southeastern Alabama Until 330 AM CDT. At 1255 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Troy, Eufaula, Brundidge, Clio, Goshen, Clayton, Louisville, Banks, Blue Springs, Boot Hill, Pickett, Tyler Crossroads, Doster, Blue Springs State Park, Linwood, Antioch, Texasville, Barbour County Public Lake Dam, Troy University and Gaino. This includes the following highway
S: US Highway 431 between mile markers 51 and 72and near mile marker 73and near mile marker 74. US Highway 82 between mile markers 224 and 237. US Highway 231 between mile markers 59 and 87.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
