Special Weather Statement

Issued at Tue 4:49 AM Apr. 7
Issued by: Environment and Climate Change Canada
Description

A late season Alberta clipper will impact Southern Saskatchewan today.

Heavy snow with accumulations of 10 to 20 cm is expected from west-central Saskatchewan through the northern Grainbelt. South of this, much warmer temperatures will see much of the precipitation fall as rain, with even the risk of a thunderstorm in the southernmost parts of the province. What snow does fall will likely see considerable melting on contact with the ground given the recent mild temperatures.
