Description

Possible freezing rain on Monday.

What: Risk of prolonged freezing rain, possibly accompanied by ice pellets.

When: Beginning overnight Sunday night and ending Monday late in the day.

Where: Témiscamingue, Outaouais, Laurentians, Lanaudière, Greater Montreal, Montérégie and southern Eastern Townships.

Additional information:
Consider modifying any non-essential travel plans. Road conditions may become difficult if ice accumulates on the roads. Ice accretion could break tree branches. Conditions may lead to power outages.

This freezing rain and ice pellet event is associated with an intense low pressure system tracking through the Great Lakes area. There is still uncertainty about the duration and expected amounts of freezing precipitation.
