Description

A strong low pressure system approaching Hudson Bay will bring strong gusty winds, 10 to 15 cm of snow and blizzard conditions to Coral Harbour and Naujaat.

Beginning overnight, strong winds gusting 80 to 100 km/h accompanied by falling snow will bring visibilities frequently near zero in blizzard conditions. These conditions are expected to last until Wednesday evening. Winds will be strongest on Wednesday morning and afternoon.

Travel will be dangerous and likely impossible due to near-zero visibility.

Blizzard warnings are issued when near-zero visibility in blowing snow is expected.
