Description

A winter storm is expected.

What:
Total snow and ice pellets accumulation of 15 to 20 centimetres over a 24-hour period.
Strong winds reaching between 50 and 70 kilometres per hour.
Blowing snow conditions resulting in significantly reduced visibilities.
Freezing rain amounts of 2 to 5 mm.

When: Wednesday evening to Thursday evening.

Where: Minganie, Natashquan and the Lower North Shore.

Additional information:
Precipitation will start as snow and will be accompanied by local blowing snow. Afterwards, in some areas, snow will change to freezing rain on Thursday afternoon.
