Description

Significant snowfall, strong winds, and blowing snow are likely.

Locations: Labrador Coast from Lodge Bay to Makkovik.

Potential snowfall: 20 to 40 cm with locally higher amounts.

Potential wind gusts: northeasterly 60 to 80 km/h shifting to northwesterly 80 to 100 km/h.

Time span: Thursday afternoon until Friday evening.

Remarks: A developing weather system appears likely to bring adverse winter weather to the region. There is uncertainty as to where the heaviest snow will fall, but the potential exists for significant accumulations over some locations.

Significant snowfall and strong winds may create adverse travel conditions.

Consider modifying any travel plans; if travel is necessary, allow extra time to reach your destination.
