Description
What: A long period of snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 40 cm is expected. When: Now through Thursday evening. Where: - North Columbia and Kinbasket. Additional information: A frontal system is bringing an extended period of snow, at times heavy, to the region. The amounts will be highly variable as the temperature is forecast to hover near or slightly above zero; however due to high snowfall rates we can expect accumulations between 20 to 40 cm of snow by Thursday evening. The most significant snowfall is expected overnight tonight and into Thursday morning. ### Travel will likely be challenging. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility will likely be reduced at times. Description

What:
A prolonged period of gusty winds.

When:
Now through Thursday.

Where:
- Prince George
- Quesnel
- Highway 16 from Tete Jaune Cache to the Alberta Border


Additional information:
A strong low pressure system will bring a prolonged period of gusty winds to the Central Interior of B.C. Southerly winds will continue gusting up to 70 km/h throughout the night. Winds will further intensify early Thursday morning as a cold front associated with the system begins to pass through the region. This will bring westerly winds gusting to 80 km/h. Winds will ease in the evening as the low pressure moves out of the region. Wind warnings will be issued as necessary.

Local utility outages are possible. Secure loose objects.
