Description

This is a Manitoba Emergency Alert. Manitoba's Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued a Flood Watch for Valley River, near Dauphin. Water levels are nearing channel capacity, but not expected to reach channel capacity within the next 24 hours. Minor to no flooding is expected at these levels, but water may begin to overflow into nearby low-lying marshland, parkland or floodplain areas with little to no impact.

Recommended Action

If you are in the affected area, be aware of local waterways. Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters or waters of unknown depth. Avoid flooded areas. Follow directions by the local authorities.
