Significant precipitation has caused water levels to exceed channel capacity in areas along Birdtail Creek including the communities of Waywayseecapo First Nation and Birtle, resulting in minor to major flooding. Water levels that have exceeded channel capacity can be expected to flood adjacent areas, agricultural fields and infrastructure in the area.

Be aware and exercise caution near waterways in the affected area. Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters or waters of unknown depth. Avoid flooded areas.
