THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 424 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA DODGE OLMSTED WABASHA WINONA IN WISCONSIN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL WISCONSIN CLARK IN NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN TAYLOR IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN BUFFALO JACKSON TREMPEALEAU THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALMA, ARCADIA, BLACK RIVER FALLS, DODGE CENTER, MEDFORD, NEILLSVILLE, ROCHESTER, WABASHA, WHITEHALL, AND WINONA.

Description

What: Heat index values up to 98.
Where: Taylor County.
When: Until 7 PM CDT Wednesday.
Impacts: Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur.

Recommended Action

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.
