What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following county, Watauga.
When: Until 815 PM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
Additional Details: - At 622 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainage
S: Laurel Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Craborchard Creek, Beech Creek, Meat Camp Creek, Spice Bottom Creek, Norris Fork, Dutch Creek, Brushy Fork, Cove Creek, George Gap Branch, South Fork Ellison Branch, Laurel Fork, Kirby Branch and Laurel Branch. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Boone Blowing Rock Foscoe Sugar Grove Seven Devil
