Winter Storm Warning
What: Heavy mixed precipitation. Additional ice accumulations of a tenth of an inch or less through this afternoon with precipitation changing to all snow by the early evening. Snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches except between 8 and 18 inches above 8,500 feet in the Sacramento mountains.
Where: Eastern Lincoln County, South Central Mountains, Curry County, Roosevelt County, Chaves County Plains, and Southwest Chaves County.
When: Until 11 AM MST Sunday.
Impacts: Avoid travel if at all possible, as conditions will remain treacherous and very difficult. Tire traction will be reduced. If you must travel, extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
Additional Details: Dangerously cold temperatures will also accompany this winter storm. Temperatures will be coldest Sunday and Monday mornings when wind chills will drop below zero.
